IP Transit

IP Transit provides guaranteed access to the Internet and
is available from NWIX either as a single or multi-homed service. NWIX uses only tier 1 service providers; Level 3 and Global Crossing, as both provide high performance networks with access to all worldwide domains.

IP Transit provides direct links to many of the world's
largest content and access providers and, unlike
peering access, is guaranteed so customers achieve increased dependability of service.

Cost Effective Solutions
NWIX can provide burstable ports over either copper or fibre so that customers don’t have to purchase higher CDR but still meet unpredictability in traffic levels. Customers only pay what is used above the agreed committed data rate which is calculated using the 95th percentile.

Robust Service
By using only Tier 1 providers, NWIX Transit provides high speed access to efficient and performance carriers. Those choosing the multi-homed option have the added resilience and efficiency gained through having more than one provider.

Flexibility
Customers can connect in from any of the on-net data centres or communications ports across the country. The service is available in scaleable connection speeds from 100Mpbs to 10G.
