NWIX provide manned support on a 24x7 basis for all ports contracted by them. Named contacts are provided to customers and set escalation process pre-defined. Incident and change control procedures are in place and are updated operational plans are always available to customers and partners.

Service Design

As a provider of specialist networking services, NWIX offers an alternative to traditional carriers in the provision of connectivity between key sites. Given our philosophy of challenging the conventional way of working, being prescriptive is not our way of thinking. Whether it is connecting another data centre into our network, a head office or a campus site, our network ensures that every server, storage device and application can act as if on the same LAN.

As our customers vary from corporate businesses to data centres and systems integrators priorities, each design for use of the network will need to be established in conjunction with the customers and what they wish to achieve. The service design process aims to establish whether protected connections are required at each location, whether a ring topology is required, what the uptime requirements are on the network and how it will be used. Through this process we can establish how each customer can best be served by the NWIX network.

  • NWIX has established relationships with all the key fibre providers in the UK and our network is in effect an aggregation of fibre from these providers
  • Because we know where there is existing fibre in the UK, and who owns it, we know how this can be used in conjunction with our interconnected data centres to meet your requirements
  • If fibre is not available to your site we can arrange a dig to the most appropriate network to ensure you receive end-to-end direct fibre connections
  • NWIX also assesses your business model to establish how you could benefit from the Peering LAN
  • Having established what our customer's service uptime is, NWIX recommends protection and diversity to ensure the customer's network meets the performance and service uptime required
